About AAPA

Maintaining robust protection systems and taking action against attempts to circumvent them is not enough. Effective action requires appropriate and effective legislation, implemented consistently across the EU. Through the activities of its members and the work  of the Policy and Regulation Working Group  AAPA is able to identify where legislation can be improved. AAPA maintains a dialogue with the EU institutions to promote effective legislation.

The Alliance meets 3 to 4 times a year at members’ premises. In addition information is exchanged by e-mail and conference call. A series of Working Groups covering Training and Awareness, Distruption, Hosting Infrastructure, Social Media, Marketplaces, and investigations meets bewteen AAPA meetings.

All members of the Alliance are members of the AAPA Council, with one representative per member having the right to vote. The Council determines the strategy of the Alliance. A small Management Group, comprising the two Vice Presidents and Executive Director, is responsible for the day to day operation of AAPA.

AAPA is incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in the UK (company no. 08186469).
