ANNOUNCEMENT: Seller of card-sharing decoders sentenced by Manchester Crown Court

In Manchester Crown Court this week the defendant in a card sharing investigation pleaded guilty to fraud offences at the very last minute.

The case involved the sale of pre-configured card sharing decoders from a retail shop in Manchester. The decoders provided access to Sky UK premium content without authorisation. Access to Sky Italia content across the same network was also provided.

The defendant was sentenced to 120 hours community service and received a fine of £1500.
